Edward Gibson

Edward Gibson, age 69, of Morristown, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was preceded in death by his parents, Parlon and Iva Gibson; daughter, Cathy Owens; son, Edward Allen Gibson; and brother, Bob Gibson. He is survived by his wife, Velma Gibson; sons, Barry Scott Gibson, James (Peggy) Gibson, and Thomas Edward (Debbie) Willford; sisters, Cleo Parker, Thelma Parker, and Kay Bowling, all of Ohio and Leona Marion of Sneedville; nineteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 31 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Emery and Rev. Bill Mowell officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 1 at Little Redeemed Church Cemetery for graveside services.
