Edward L. “Ed” Howser, age 92, of Morristown, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at Life Care Center of Morristown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Hovey Howser; and parents, Smith and Leona Howser; three brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Ed ran his farm for thirty-nine years in Slaterville Springs, New York and was a prominent farmer and developer of the farm until his retirement. The farm was then named by the town board, “Howser Meadows.” Ed and Mildred retired in 1988 to Tennessee and they loved living in Morristown. Ed loved to deer hunt and fish. He had many hobbies and interests including, woodworking, bird watching, gardening, and making his yard look very nice. Traveling was done for many years with his wife all over the United States and the Canadian Province. They saw many National Parks and historical monuments. No services will be scheduled. Ed’s remains will be laid to rest beside his wife Mildred at the South Cemetery in Brooklyn, Connecticut in the Hovey Family Plot. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
