Ernest Lee Howerton, age 84, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at his residence. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and retired from Shelby Williams Inc. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Howerton; parents, Henry and Ollie Howerton; grandson, Josh Howerton; and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Howerton. He is survived by his son, Chris Howerton; brothers, Ray (Cheryl) Howerton and Charles (Freddie) Howerton; sisters, Dorothy Ball, Bessie Morrell, Irene Archer, Betty Kirk, and Patsy Bullen; also several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  A special thanks to Dr. Peter Sutherland and staff, Covenant Health and Home Care and Staff, and Covenant Health and Hospice and staff. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm Wednesday with Rev. Bobbie Helton officiating. Family and friends will meet for an 11 am graveside service on Thursday, August 10th at Central Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
