Georgia B. Reece

Georgia B. Reece, age 84, of Tazewell, born October 22, 1934, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at her home. Georgia was saved at a young age at Grissom Island Church and was a member of Howertons Church. She worked as an RN for over 40 years, working at Claiborne County Hospital and Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Reece; parents, Roy and Ruby Lane; and infant sister, Pauline. She is survived by her sons, Steve Reece of Tazewell and Dennis and wife Kim Reece of New Tazewll; and grandson, Matthew Reece. The family will meet for a 2 p.m. graveside service on Saturday, March 23rd at Reece Cemetery in Tazewell with Rev. Jerry Epperson officiating. Pallbearers will be Johnny Barnard, Hob Jones, Jerry Jones, Gary Shockley, Wayne Bull, and Cawood Reece; honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Reece and Ben Reece. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
