Howard Eugene Thomas

Howard Eugene Thomas, age 75, of Bean Station, passed away Monday, January 6, 2019 at DiversiCare Nursing Home of Tazewell. He was a member of First Independent Freewill Baptist Church of Bean Station and was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jean Carroll; second wife, Rhonda Thomas; parents, Winfred and Emiline Thomas; brother, James Herman Thomas; sister, Linda Bowling; and grandson, Daniel Adam Thomas. He is survived by his daughters, Melanie Thomas and Theresa Hawkins; grandchildren, Melissa Greene (Walter Brown) and Miranda Lynn (Justin) Clevenger; great-grandchildren, Braiden Clevenger, Zoe Clevenger, Madison Greene, Ayden Greene, Abigail Greene, Austin Thomas, Logan Thomas, and Jordan Thomas; and sisters, Susie Noel, Pat Gearhart, and Claudette Thomas. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 8th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ron Simmers officiating. Interment will follow at First Independent Freewill Baptist Church of Bean Station Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
