J.C. Carpenter

J.C. Carpenter, age 80, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home in Rutledge.He was saved at an early age and attended Calvue Baptist Church. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Seybert; parents, John Caster Carpenter and Flora Carpenter; brothers, Paul, Hoover, and Coolidge Carpenter; sisters, Hazel Dalton and Veda Coffey; and ex-wife, Jessie Stubblefield. He is survived by his son, Gary (Eldena) Carpenter; grandchildren, Jessica (Michael) Nalley and Josh West; great grandchildren, Hailee Nalley, Samara Nalley, and Shaun Nalley; brother, Donald Carpenter; also several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, December 27th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 pm with Rev. Travis Bowden officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 am Friday, December 28th at Hamblen Memory Gardens.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
