J.P. Huff, age 78, of Morristown, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a past member of the Morristown Rescue Squad. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Huff; parents, Clyde and Ruby Huff; and brother, Estel Huff. He is survived by his daughters, Gail (J.R.) Vaughn and Brenda (Danny) Potter; son, Derek (Lorene) Huff; step-son, David Flynn; step-daughter, Janie (James) Foster; grandchildren, Melissa Wilcox and Tiffany, Sara, and D.J. Huff; step-grandchildren, Wesley Purkey, Lisa Purkey Davis, Jennifer Purkey, and Mikey Wild; great-grandson, Rayne Wilcox; step-great grandchildren, Adam Ballard and Kaelen Purkey; brother, Leonard (Helen) Huff; sisters, Faye (Neese) Ely and Betty Jean (Cisco) Dockery; great-uncle, Gray Huff; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, June 25 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Huff officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, June 26 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for graveside services.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
