James "Tommy" Thomas Rickard

James Thomas “Tommy” Rickard, age 71, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of Morristown Baptist Tabernacle for 49 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Porter Rickard and Edith Rickard; and grandchild, Riley Greene. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marie Rickard; son, Chris (Amy) Rickard; daughter, Susan (Troy) Greene; grandchildren, Hannah, Hope, Kaleigh, Kara, Faith, Savannah, and Jasmine; brother, John Rickard; sisters, Teresa Doughtery, Sandra Taylor, Debbie (Eddie) Shaver; several nieces and nephews; and precious dog, "Sadie." The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 15th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Doug Benton and Rev. Chris Hazelwood officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 16th at Sunderland Cemetery.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
