Jay Dee McCoy, Jr., age 48, of Mohawk, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the home of his parents. He was a member of Mountain Valley Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.C. and Lucille McCoy and Jesse and Leone Pollard; and uncle, Daniel Pollard. He is survived by his parents, Jay D. and Deloris McCoy; sisters, Rhonda Parker of Rogersville, Gina (Joseph) Tolliver of Bulls Gap, and Amanda (Daniel) Knight of Mohawk; nieces, Shasta Pollard, Faith Spring Tolliver, Natalie Hope Tolliver, and MaKayla Silvers; special nephews, Matthew Knight, Danner McCoy, and Dalton McCoy; great-nephew, Jesse Thomas Williams; aunts, Betty (Bill) Westmoreland of Morristown, Lizzie (Curt) Ogden of Belvidere, IL, Debra Brown of Clearwater, FL, and Delaine Seals; uncle, Dale Pollard; special cousins, Billy Westmoreland, Brian Westmoreland, and Brandon Westmoreland; and several nieces, other relatives, and many good friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday, May 19th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with special cousin Rev. Billy Westmoreland officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19th at Point Pleasant Church Cemetery in Cocke County for graveside services. Pallbearers will be Matthew Knight, Danner McCoy, Dalton McCoy, Brian Westmoreland, Brandon Westmoreland, and Daniel Knight. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
