Jerry E. Miller

Jerry E. Miller, age 85, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab Center. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jefferson City and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid golfer and was a loving husband. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Miller; grandson, Michael Shawn Miller; parents, Hubert and Hattie Miller; brothers, James Miller, Junior Miller, Edward Miller, and Kenneth Miller; and sisters, Katherine Spires and Dolly Spires. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Sonja Miller; son, Wesley Miller; daughter, Sandra Chapman; grandchildren, Angel (Brian) Bolden, Michelle Chapman, Kasi (Josh) Greene, Jerry Miller, Kelli Miller, Wesley Miller, Nikki Minton, Aaron Minton, Isaac, Jayden, and Aiden; great-grandchildren, Madison Dalton, Brady Dalton, Madx Greene, Kohn Greene, Hudson Greene, Alexis, Nolen Miller, Taylor, and Ashton Rose; brothers, Dee (Linda) Miller and Harold (Charlotte) Miller; sister, Ethel Hudgens; and several nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, August 2 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. T.H. Ferrell officiating. Military graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, August 3 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
