John Edward Helton, age 74, of Bean Station, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of Stone Mountain Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Helton; daughter, Angie Williams; parents, Calvin and Princess Helton; brothers, Luther Helton, Tom Helton, Coy Helton, Ross Helton, Sug Helton, Jay Helton, Riley Helton, and Charles Helton; and sister, Rosemary Helton. He is survived by his sons, Keith (Stephanie) Helton and Johnny Helton; daughter, Lisa (Shannon) Emery; grandchildren, Holden Emery, Chevy Helton, Jessica Williams, and Amanda Walker; great-grandchildren, Hailey Walker, Ali Nibley, and Nova Helton; brothers, Larry Helton and Rick Helton; and sisters, Ollie Carson and Maggie Helton. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, January 22 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Roger Porter officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 23 at Jarnagin Cemetery for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
