Johnny Eugene Breeden, age 63, of Morristown, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport. He was a member of Holt’s Baptist Church. Johnny worked in the ASARCO Zinc Mines in Jefferson County for twenty-six years and retired from the City of Morristown after 15 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his sons, Deborah Ann Breeden; and parents, Ervin and Wilma Breeden. He is survived by his wife, Becky Breeden; sons, John “Andy” Breeden and David “Mickey” Breeden and his wife, Kristi, and their children, Lydia Ann, Liam, and Lauryn; daughter, Laura Merrill and her husband, Jon, and their children, Jackson, Jacob, Jonah, Lucas, and Leah; brothers, Bill (Loretta) Breeden, Jim (Darlene) Breeden, and David (Sheila) Breeden; sister, Linda Breeden; aunt, Ernestine Vance; father-in-law, George Brotherton; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 29 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Alan Lamb officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 30 at Holt’s Baptist Church Cemetery for graveside services with Rev. Ben Brotherton officiating.
