Joseph “Larry” Lemka, age 70, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired local business owner. He was a kind hearted and loving man that never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him. It’s his time to go rest high on that mountain and watch over his loved ones with the angel wings that he has received. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Margaret Lemka; sister, Teresa Lemka Lipton; and brothers, Eddie Lemka and Johnny Lemka. He is survived by his loving companion of thirty-five years, Ruby Bolden; daughter, Lisa Lemka Allen and husband, Richard; grandson, Keller Carter and wife, Jaleesa; great-granddaughters, Lylah and Gracelyn Carter; step-sons, Paul and Richard Atkins; step-grandsons, Austin and Tanner Atkins; brothers, Kenny (Pat) Lemka, Bill Lemka, and Joe Lemka; and several other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, August 26 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Alan Lamb and Rev. Jason Lemka officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 27 at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
