Kay Allen Obituary

Kay Wester Allen, of Russellville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving husband and loved ones. She was born on April 23, 1948. Kay was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, nana, aunt, and friend. Kay will be forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched during her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Clay and Juanita (Bishop) Wester; grandparents, Hurd and Bertha Bishop and Sam and Bessie Wester. She is survived by her wonderful and loving husband of twenty-four years, Ron Allen; children, Chad Allen and Heidi Cornelius; grandchildren, Harry and George Cornelius and Molly, Finn, and Graham Allen; brother, Danny (Pat) Stapleton; sister, Joyce (L.C.) Taylor; and many precious nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their many thanks to all her friends coming to see her from Atlanta; the many kind deeds that everyone has shown to Kay and the family; and Amedysis for their excellent care and gentle kindness for the entire family.  The family will receive friends from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 28 at Manley Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Dr. Tony Buchanan and Rev. Alan Duncan officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29 at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to Manley Baptist Church Building Fund or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
