Mack Andrew Haire, Jr., age 86, of Talbott, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. His life revolved around the love of his life, Mary Lou. They were inseparable and their pride was their son, Scott. Mack served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He served his church with an incredible Christian faith and was an influence on many people’s lives and was a faithful member of Little Redeemed Primitive Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and a Tennessee sports fan, specifically the Lady Vols. He worked for BellSouth for thirty-eight and a half years until he retired in 1994. He belonged to Morristown Lodge 231 and was a Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack Andrew Haire, Sr. and Bessie Haire; sisters, Ruth Brandeau, Nancy Pascal, Francis Rice, and Merion Heaton; and brother, Donald Haire. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Haire; son, Scott Haire and wife, Denise and their daughter, Britney; God-daughters, Marina Dawson and Katrina Bloomquest; special nephew, Tony Green and wife, Missy; nephews, Kenny and Michael Reed; nieces, Angie and Marty Wild and Ginger Gibson; and several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Larry Miller, Rev. Donnie McNabb, and Rev. Shane Russell officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for graveside services.
