Melita Pearl Cate, age 97, of Morristown, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 in New Market. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cam and Theodosia Cate; brother, Ralph Cate; sister, Blanche Lowery; and nephew, Tom Cate. She is survived by her sister, Reba Cate; nephews, Jim Cate, Ronnie Cate, Tim Lowery, and Curtis Lowery; also several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm on Sunday with Rev. William Bradley officiating. Family and friends will meet for an 11am graveside service on Monday, June 19th at Central Baptist Church Cemetery.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
