Melvin Joe Hatcher

Melvin Joe Hatcher, age 62, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Lear Seating. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He was preceded in death by his sons, Timothy Hatcher and Christopher Hatcher; parents, Edward Joe and Mary Ruth Hatcher; and sisters, Joyce Jarnagin and Rosemary Cox. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Hatcher; sons, Chris (Ashley) Hatcher and Tony Hatcher; grandson, Christopher Allen Hatcher; brother, George (Jackie) Hatcher; special family member, Carolyn Gladson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, February 23 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Russell and Rev. Barry Warren officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24 at Bethesda Cemetery.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
