Naomi Ruth (Devotie) Ball

Naomi Ruth Ball, age 82, of Jefferson City, went home to be with her Heavenly Father in the early morning of Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Ethel Devotie; sisters, Ruby Shropshire, Dorothy Cox, Rosa Lee Devotie, Lula Belle Cross, Dolly Gass, and Gladys Gass; and brothers, Floyd Devotie, Edward Devotie, James Devotie, Paul Devotie, and Charlie Devotie. She is survived by her loving husband, of sixty-five years, Fred Ball; children, Aileen (Clifford) Beasley, Darlene (Neal) Bailey, Sherrie Brooks, Sheila (Cy) Damron, Sharon (Charles) Courtney, Freddie (Karla) Ball, Randy Ball (Tish Beck), Mark (Dee Dee) Ball, and Anthony (Mary) Ball; brothers, Joe (Judy) Devotie and David (Diane) Devotie; twenty-seven grandchildren; fifty-eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Special thanks to Tony and Patricia Hodge, Sadie, Robert and Peggy, Billy, and Danny Ball, as well as a host of relatives and friends. A huge thank you to Amedysis Home Health and Hospice for their outstanding care and support. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19th at the House of Prayer Church in Morristown. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Rev. Joe Devotie, Rev. Garland Sargent, Rev. Charles Courtney, and Rev. Travis Beasley officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 20th at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in Jefferson County.
