Ollie Goins, age 94, of Morristown, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. She was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Carrie Johnson; brothers, Tommy, Lee, Sam, Wayne, and Douglas Johnson; sisters, Agnes Maples and Teresa Houston; sons, Alfred and Gary Myers; and daughter, Athea “Sis” Ray. She is survived by her brother, Claude Johnson; sister, Elizabeth “Squeak” Ewing; children, Clyde Myers, Dennis Myers, Kay (Reggie) Daniels, Tony (Jane) Goins, Jim (Bridgette) Goins, and Lolita (Maurice) Boseman; sixteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; devoted friends, Darlene Loveday, Brenda Patton, and Nora May Banner; and devoted grandchildren, Derick Daniels, Rodney Myers, and Tia Goins. Granny Ollie loved her family and always had some words of wisdom. She enjoyed gardening and canning food. Everyone loved her homemade biscuits and jelly and was always welcome to eat at her table. The family will receive friends from 3 – 4 p.m. Saturday, February 16th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. Brother Daniel Hamblin and Brother Jake Green officiating. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
