Pearl Mae (Greene) Shelton

Pearl Mae Greene Shelton, age 94, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at her residence. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Shelton; parents, George and Lula Rippetoe Greene; brothers, Robert Greene, William “Bill” Greene, and Jim Greene; and sisters, Bessie Cameron and Nancy Adams. She is survived by her son, Johnny Wayne (Janet) Shelton; daughters, Brenda (Dean) Ford and Frances Nichols; grandchildren, Melinda Reese, Holly (Noel) Romey, Kristen Ford, Aaron (Suzanne) Miller, David (Lauren) Ford, and John Robert (Camerie) Ford; and great-grandchildren, Johnathan Reese, Hayden Miller, Julian Romey, Coraline Pearl Romey, Cash Ford, and Lola Mae Ford.  The family would like to thank the staff of Avalon Hospice for their wonderful care and also to caregiver, Elizabeth Morefield. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, May 17th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Tim Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
