Ray Campbell Obituary

Ray Campbell, age 84, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Unicoi County Hospital in Irwin. He was a member and deacon of Cherokee Heights Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Korea, and retired from BASF. Ray was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Jinks Campbell; parents, Kyle and Lucy Campbell; and sister, Barbara Witherspoone. He is survived by his wife, Jane Campbell; children, Jennifer King, Johnny Campbell, Jeff (Debbie) Campbell, and Joy (Stuart) Rogers; step-children, Joyce (Garry) Dalton and Donna (Ernie) Burzell; grandchildren, Jessica (Tyler) Darnell, Nick (Brittani) King, Josh (Andie) Campbell, Travis Campbell, Caleb Campbell, Bruce (Nadine) Logue, Sean Logue, Taylor Campbell, Erin (Joe) Bilotti, Jenna Rogers, and Melissa Sawyer; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 4th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Ken Cole, Rev. Justin Self, and Rev. Nick King officiating. Military graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 5th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Cherokee Heights Baptist Church or First Baptist Church of Morristown. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
