Rev. John Michael Footen, age 76, of Bean Station, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his sons, John Footen, Jr. and James Footen; and sister, Nancy Trembley. He is survived by his wife, Emma Footen; son, Joe Footen of Florida; grandchildren, Ashlyn Blair, Dylan Footen, Chris Harman, and Cynthia Harman; brothers, Joe Goll of South Carolina and David Miller of South Carolina; step-son, Gary Riggs; step-daughter, Teresa Harman; daughter-in-law, Pamela Footen of Maryland; and several great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, January 11 at Morristown First Church of God with Rev. Kevin Shelton officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Westside Chapel Funeral Home for funeral expenses. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
