Robert White, age 81, of Morristown, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Life Care of Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gillis and Lucy (Collins) White; brother, Earl White; and sisters, Ruby and Bettie White. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Sue White; and cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Robert worked and lived in the White Oak Church Community most of his life. He professed his faith in Christ and is now home with his parents, brother, and sisters that he missed greatly. He enjoyed farming, gardening, and watching Westerns. Robert loved music and especially enjoyed visiting with and spending time with his family and many friends. The family would like to extend our special appreciation to the Life Care administrative, nursing, therapy, CNA, support staff, and residents for making the last year and a half of Robert’s life particularly meaningful. His days were enriched with activities, quality care, and laughter. Nothing delighted Robert more than being able to entertain others with his harmonica, share a greeting, or a visit. The Life Care family surrounded Robert with love and respect and we are grateful for each of you. Additionally, we would like to express our appreciation to the Amedisys Hospice team for the tenderness and dignified care you extended to Robert, particularly during the last couple of weeks of his life and especially throughout the day Monday. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 12 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tom Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Jarnagin cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
