Ruth Marie Herrick

Ruth Marie Herrick, age 93, of Morristown, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family’s love and care. For the past nine years, Ruth called Regency Retirement Village her home. She enjoyed her friends and the staff at Regency and loved playing Phase 10 each week with her card buddies. Ruth was also active at the Morristown Senior Citizens Center for many years. Many children in the area still wear her knitted caps, scarfs, and mittens in the winter. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Robert Herrick. She is survived by her five children, Don (Anne) Herrick of Bean Station, Kathy Allen of Morristown, Ken (Mary) Herrick of Rancho Murieta, CA, Marsha Galbreath of Morristown, and Robin Day of Roswell, GA; She also leaves six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to Regency Village and Smoky Mountain Hospice for their support. A private family service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
