Shields Ray Trent, Sr.

Shields Ray Trent, Sr., age 83, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 9, 2018 peacefully at his residence. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of fifty-six years, Maude Trent; sisters, Odessa Hileman, Jewell Soloman, and Evia Shockley; and parents, Isaac and Rene Trent. Shields is survived by his son, Shields (Dina) Trent, Jr.; daughter, Janet Epley; and grandchildren, Amanda Trent, Jessica (Taylor) Shockley, Terrin Shanks, and Tyler Epley. The family received friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 12 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ricky Greene officiating. Interment followed at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
