Shirley Jean (Haun) Lawson

Shirley Jean Lawson, age 73, of Whitesburg, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 at her residence. She was a member of Lee Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nancy Haun. She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Lester Lawson, Sr.; daughters, Wilma (Earl) Lyons and Paula (Michael) Carson; step-son, Lester Lawson, Jr.; grandchildren, Joseph (Rebekah) Lyons, Matthew Lyons, Jessica Lyons, Preston Carson, Michael Carson, Jr., and Elizabeth Lawson; two special grandchildren, Angela (Donnie) Saunders and Bobby Brooks; great-grandchild, Elijah Edwards; brother, William Haun; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Friday, October 18th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Willard Wilder and Rev. Dwayne Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at Lee Valley Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
