Sonya Denise (Dillon) Koontz

Sonya Denise Koontz, age 50, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Megan Atkins Turner; mother, Theresa Dillon; sister, Melissa Koontz; and grandparents, Robert and Juanita Cody. She is survived by Spouse Gary Koontz; Father Keith Dillon; Brother Joshua Dillon daughters Whitney (Andy) Barnard, Kylee Koontz, and Hannah Koontz; aunt, Debi (Gary) Dillon; her beautiful grandchildren Cooper and Ayla. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown. A double funeral service for Sonya and her daughter, Megan Atkins-Turner, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 3rd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. Double Interment will follow at Carpenter’s Chapel Cemetery.
