Virginia Ruth Ellis

Virginia Ruth Ellis, age 74, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Star Ellis; parents, John and Bonnie Williams; brothers, Kenneth, Raymond, Ernest, Johnny, and Roy Williams; and sisters, Irene Ridley, Sue Polley, and Ellarie Smith. She is survived by her husband, Sam Sexton; daughter, Letitia Jean Ellis (Gary) Carter; grandchildren, Jessica Murray, Timothy Litz, Rachel (Joshua) Cochran, and Lonnie Ogan; great grandchildren, Zaydian and Zachary Litz; brothers, Bill (Liz) Williams and Lynn Williams; sister, Brenda Fletcher; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, February 8 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Bobby Helton officiating. Family and friends will meet for an 11 am graveside service on Friday, February 9th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
