William C. "Bill" Woods

William  C. “Bill” Woods, age 78, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. Born August 23, 1941 in Forge Ridge, TN. Bill was saved at an early age, he loved Elvis, loved playing pool and had several trophies to show for it. Bill joined the Army at an early age, he was not quiet 18 so his mother had to sign for him to join. He was stationed in Korea where he was awarded a patch for his rifle marksmanship. A special thanks to the staff in the CCU at MHHS so attentive to Bill and his family. It takes special people to do what they do. We will miss Bill, his sense of humor, wit and sarcasm. I know he would want me to say, Vote Trump. Bill was preceded in death by his precious mother, Louise Partin; father Lewis Woods; step-father, W.L. Partin; brother, Kyle Woods; and sister, Inez Barnard. Bill is survived by his son, Crayton Lewis; twin granddaughters, Brandy and Brittany of Michigan; sister, Thelma (Steve) Epps; brother, Buck (Brenda) Partin; and a host of nieces nephews and cousins. Family and friends will say their farewells from 6-7 pm on Wednesday, November 20th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 pm Wednesday with Rev. Ken Cole officiating.
