Allen Ellis Swearengin, age 81, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital in Knoxville. He was a member of Morristown Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He retired from Yellow Freight Transportation after thirty-four years of service as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Lee Swearengin; and brother, Tommy Swearengin. He is survived by his wife, Jean Swearengin; children, Ricky Allen Swearengin, Bobby (Sarah) Swearengin, Karen Swearengin, Melissa Swearengin (Chuck) McGee, Randy (Leslie) Swearengin, Kaleb “Zeke” Swearengin, Ricky Thomas Swearengin, Vickie Lynn (Jim) Cruze, and Laura Beth Bryan; brother, Charlie Swearengin; sister, Patty Smith; seventeen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m. Sunday, February 14th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Blaine Kelley officiating. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
