Amy Lynn (Carroll) Tharp

Amy Lynn Carroll Tharp, age 56, of Morristown, departed this earth for her Heavenly home on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Amy was a loving, devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister, cousin, friend, nurturer, and lover of life. She was the heart of our family, the glue, the communicator, the facilitator of family events, the joy, life, and love of us all. Amy touched many lives as a nurse at Heritage Center for over thirty years. She impacted so many residents, families, friends, and co-workers, spreading love, laughs, and kindness all along the way. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd “Cotton” Carroll; grandparents, Walter and Mary Hammontree and Bill and Ruby Sinard; uncle and aunt, Bruce and Katherine Antrican; and step-dad, Dennis Young. There is a joyful reunion in Heaven with Amy today. She is survived by her loving husband, Donny Tharp; precious mother, Alice Young; beautiful children, Chase (Amanda) Carroll, Ali Wise, Tim Tharp, and Kendra (Craig) Rickard; her favorite people in the world, her grandchildren, Boone, Quinton, Brennan, Rowyn, Callen, Morgan, Tanner, Roland, Donovan, and Kylie; brothers, Cody Carroll and Logan Young; sisters and brothers of the heart, Lisa (Jerry) Boggs, Leslie Tharp, and John Antrican; sweet uncle, Jerry Hammontree and Hammontree cousins; special sister-in-law and friend, Glenda Tharp; very special nieces and nephews, Alison (Lance) Helton, Savanna Tharp, Sawyer Boggs, Alex Tharp, Kensey and Maddey Helton, Mason Boggs, Jackson and Harper Carroll, and Isabella Young; and a multitude of family and friends she loved with all her heart. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service on Friday, January 9th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
