Arthur B. Helton

Arthur B. Helton, age 83, of New Tazewell, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at his residence. He was a member and deacon of Grissom Island Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inell Helton; father, Arthur Brogan; mother, Jane Helton; son, Darrell Helton; granddaughter, Jessica Helton; great-granddaughter, Makinley Helton; brothers, Willard, Pete, Walter, and John Helton; and two infant brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl (Johnny) Barnard; sons, Greg Helton and Keith Helton; grandchildren, Cynthia (Gary) Ray, Brad Barnard, Josh (Amie) Helton, Jamey Helton, Ryan Helton and fiancé, Alisha, and Samantha Helton; great-grandchildren, Raven (Seth) Hipshire, Colin Ray, Emma Ray, Jalynn Brooks, and Eliza Helton; daughter-in-law, Melissa Helton; and sister-in-law, Louise Helton. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Saturday, March 20th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21st at the funeral home with Rev. Daryl Hensley, Rev. Steve Johnson, and Rev. Jamie Vaughn officiating and the Welch Family Singers providing the music. Interment will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Claiborne County. Pallbearers will be Brad Barnard, Ryan Helton, Josh Helton, Gary Ray, Colin Ray, and Dennis Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Helton, Charlie Crawford, Larry Johnson, and Seth Hipshire. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
