Barbara Darlene Bishop

Barbara Darlene Bishop, age 71, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was of the Baptist faith. Barbara loved working puzzles, reading books, and playing Bingo. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Farmer; son, John Thomas Bishop; brother, Clyde David Wilson; sister, Brenda Sue Cook; niece, Deanna Diane Gregg; nephew, Daniel Ray Gregg; and special aunt, Johnnie Mae Cook. She is survived by her husband of over fifty years, Thomas Bishop; daughters, Sherry Bishop and Dee Dee Bishop; grandchildren, Michael John Bishop, Lucian Scott Bishop, and Marena (Greg) Rayle; great-grandson, Jackson James Garner; brother, Jim Cook; sisters, Debra (Lewis) Sartain and Kathy (Johnny) Thompson; nephews, Randy McDaniel, Jason (Shana) McDaniel, and Chris Gregg; and special friend, Sandra Peters. Special thanks to Dr. Yorke and nurse, Susan. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 22nd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Benny Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 23rd at St. Paul Cemetery for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
