Bentley Jameson Thomas, son of Alexia Matthews and Logan Thomas, was born sleeping in the arms of Jesus on February 19, 2025 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. Awaiting Bentley’s arrival in Heaven were his grandparents, James Brummitt, Elizabeth Brummitt, Anna Mae Matthews, Martha Loveday, Johnny and June Skeen, Robert Reagan, Carolyn and Jacky McDaniel, and Bobby Tolliver. Left to cherish Bentley earth-side include, parents, Alexia and Logan; grandparents, Crissy Thomas and Rick Sands, Ethan and Megan Skeen, Jessica and John Skiscm, and Aron Matthews; great-grandparents, John and Sherry Skeen, Dorothy Reagan, Troy and Christine Matthews, and Mary Brummitt; aunts and uncles, MaKenzie Skeen, Jordan (Tyler) Kreis, Austin Thomas, Sydney Munsey, and Harmony Skiscm; special friends, Adriena and Franklin Stepp, Ashleigh and Mike Mosier, Samantha and Casey Cooper, Jessica and Blake Hatley, Paige Penrod, Paisleigh Kuykendall, Kelia Cox, Alena Reeves, and Delisa and Brandon Crawford; Bentley also leaves behind many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who has prayed for us during this difficult time, as well as the staff at East TN Ob/Gyn and U.T. Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, February 24th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. J.R. Hengehold officiating.
