Bernice "Totsy" Louise (Wells) Darnell

Bernice “Totsy” Louise Darnell, age 74, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Holt’s Baptist Church for over fifty years. Totsy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Wells; brother, Charles Junior Wells; and sisters, Donna Price, Ruby Best, Peggy Wells, and Gene Wells. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, David Darnell; children, Brian (Missy) Darnell, Jason (Pam) Darnell, Tammy (Shannon) Hester, and Brook Darnell; grandchildren, Madison Darnell, Bentley Darnell, Kristy (Blake) Foote, Alex Short, Kailee Darnell, Brady Darnell, Mashayla Hester, Chazton Hester, and Laylah Hester; great-grandchildren, Ben Foote, Gabe Foote, and Scarlett Johnson; special sister-in-law, Linda Jones; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, November 9th at Holt’s Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Rev. Alan lamb officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 10th at Economy Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
