Bessie Sue (Jennings) Lawson

Bessie Sue Lawson, age 84, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at her residence. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a kind heart, was good to everyone, and will be dearly missed. Proverbs 31:28, Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Claude Lawson; sons, Lonnie and Jeff Lawson; parents, Henry and Myrtle Jennings; brothers, John and Bobby; and sisters, Ann and Nell. She is survived by sons, Allen (Kathy) Lawson of Bean Station, and Greg (Marilyn) Lawson of Cosby; daughters Vivian (Donald) Barnes of Newport, Sandra (Victor) Hipolito of Morristown, Denise (Jimmy) Lumpkins of Mooresburg, and Shirley (Barry) Zeller of Orange Park, FL.; sisters, Nora, Judy, Dorothy, and Dale; also several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Tuesday, July 24th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm Tuesday with Rev. T.H. Ferrell and Rev. Kathy Lawson officiating. Family and friends will meet for a 2 pm graveside service on Wednesday, July 25th at Swan Creek Cemetery in Sneedville.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
