Betty Sue (Sams) Bible

Betty (Sams) Bible, age 76, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Heritage Center. She was a member of Peace Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Bessie Evans Sams; sisters, Alma (Fred) Haun, Edna (Clayton) Holt, Francis (Casey) Long, Mary Will Richards, Ann (Kyle) Long, and Kay (Fag) Dalton; and brothers, Hal (Dottie) Sams, Jimmy Sams, and Jerry Sams. Betty is survived by her husband of fifteen years, William Bible; sons, Richard D. Shepard II, Stacy (Amy) Shepard, and Brian (Heather) Shepard; grandchildren, Jamie, Mallory, Alexis, Bryson, and Caleb; and brother, Charles (Loraine) Sams. Special thanks to Heritage Center and Smoky Mountain Hospice. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, January 23rd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Junior Gardner officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday, January 24th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services.
