Betty Kay (Holder) Gilbert

Betty Kay Gilbert, age 74, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. She attended Holt’s Baptist Church. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John Gilbert; parents, Frank and Grace Holder; and sister, Alma Franklin. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Jimmy) Green; grandchildren, Amanda (Wesley) Cody and Eric Green; twin great grandchildren, Isaac Michael Cody and Adam John Cody; also several nieces, nephews, In-laws, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday, June 25th at Holt’s Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm at the church with Rev. Alan Lamb, Rev. Dale Harris, and Rev. Mike Henegar officiating. Family and friends will meet for an 11 am graveside service on Friday, June 26th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
