Betty Sue (Howerton) Kirk

Betty Sue Kirk, age 85, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. Anyone who knew Betty knows she was known for her heart. She never seen bad in anyone and loved everyone. She was a laughter to be around, and I promise she was never wrong even if she was! She was a bright light in this dark world. Her smile will be missed and we’re thankful for every second she was in this world until she went to her forever home. God gained him the most beautiful angel.   Psalms 18:30. She was survived by her son Johnny Kirk  (Carmen Kirk); her granddaughters, Crystal, Jamie, Rachel, Kelsi, and Michelle; twelve wonderful great-grandchildren; her brother, Charles; and her sisters, Bessie, Irene, and Patsy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hunley Kirk; her sons, Jeffery and Mike; her brothers, Ray and Earnest; and her sister, Dorthy. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, July 13th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Lucas Archer officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 14th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
