Bobbie Ann (Harris) Patterson, age 76, of Talbott, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Jefferson Park Nursing Home in Dandridge. She was a devoted wife, mother, and MeMe and a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord and her family. The saying, “If your Bible falls apart, your life will not,” was so true for her as her Bible’s cover had come off and pages fell out as she diligently read and studied God’s Word. She was a faithful Sunday School teacher to the four and five year olds at Talbott Baptist Church for over ten years and was also the WMU Director. Bobbie loved to sing and praise Jesus. Her full time job was caring for her family. She was a prayer warrior and many people shared how she would pray for them in the store, the church, or on the phone whenever there was a need. Bobbie also loved to draw and paint and walked daily at Panther Creek Park where she enjoyed quiet time with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her faithful husband, James E. Patterson who passed away November 15, 2020, only eighteen days before she went to Heaven. They would have celebrated sixty years of marriage. Their life was a true love story and an example of Christian love and faith and the blessings of the Lord. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Harris and Annie O. Wigley; and sister, Donna Kutcher. She is survived by her daughter, Becky (Michael) Sewell; son, Michael (Melissa) Patterson; grandchildren, Brent (Jessica) Sewell, Matthew (Morgan) Sewell, and Dylan Patterson; and great-grandchild, Mattison Sewell; brothers, Charles Harris and Robert Harris; and sister, Gloria Weinstein. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, December 7th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Monday with Rev. Mike Henegar officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 8th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
