Brenda Sue (Scates) Smith

Brenda Sue Smith, age 67, of Morristown, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was a strong and amazing woman and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Smith; parents, Arthur and Evelyn Scates; and sister, Debbie Scates. She is survived by her sons, Eugene (Amber) Smith and Ralf (Ann) Smith; daughter, Nickie Smith and her partner, Stacey Jones; grandchildren, Reilly Smith, Ravyn Smith, Katherine (Robert) Peruzzini, and Royal Fox; brothers, Ronnie (Linda) Scates and Dennis Scates; sisters, Patsy (Eddie) Henderson, Wanda Still, and Diane Scates; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, November 23 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Glen Dockins officiating. Graveside services will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 24 at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
