Burl Henry Beasley, Sr., age 76, of Bean Station, loving husband and father of four children, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at his residence after a brief illness, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 30, 1943 to the late Edgar and Edna Beasley. He was also preceded in death by his grandsons, Jeffery Drinnon and Joshua Beasley. Burl served as a Grainger County Constable from 1974 till 2002. He was a devoted Christian and ordained deacon. Burl leaves behind his loving wife of sixty years, Lena Beasley; children, Sheila Drinnon and husband Daryl, Burl Beasley, Jr. and his late wife, Tessie, Robin Kite and husband, Scott, and Chris Beasley and wife, Dusti; grandsons, Jayden, Jonathan, Joseph, and Jacob Beasley and Tim Kite; granddaughters, Brittney Drinnon and Nova and Arianna Beasley; and great-grandsons, Colton and Conner Kite and Elijah Beasley. Burl was a friend to many people that both loved and respected him and one very special friend, Tim Southerland, who Burl thought of as a son and loved very much. He also leaves behind his sisters, Christine Beasley and Carolyn Hill; and brothers, Clifford and John Beasley. Special thanks to Covenant Hospice Care for their care giving in our time of need and special nurse, Cindy. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 4th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Bill Nichols officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 5th at Meadow Branch Cemetery in Bean Station. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
