CMSgt. Floyd Edward Kosht, age 82, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He attended Manley Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he received three republic Vietnam Campaign medals with three bronze service stars. His enlistment started in 1957 and culminated in 1990 while stationed at Dakota Air Base in Japan. Upon completion of his Air Force career, he volunteered with the Tennessee Air National Guard, the American Red Cross, the Daily Bread, and the Morristown Rescue Squad. He was also involved with the Amateur Ham Radio Club working with the National Weather Station and volunteered with the ALPS organization during their annual walks. After retirement, he moved to Morristown where he has resided the last thirty-two years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Bertha Kosht; and siblings, Gerald Kosht, Don Kosht, Mary Walters, and Inabell Kosht. He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Peggy Kosht; son, Howard (Lisa) Kosht; daughter, Nanette (Wayne) Richards; grandchildren, Brandon Kosht, Jessica Richards, and Wayne Richards III: sisters, Marlynn Roud, Corena Stump, and Lois Kochheiser; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1st at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Military honors will begin at 3 p.m. and the funeral service will follow with Rev.
