Cecil Reed

Cecil Reed, age 84, of Newport, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Life Care Center of Morristown. He loved fishing and Hot Wheels. Cecil was a loving father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bradford and Hazel Reed; sister, Linda Gilliland; and brother-in-law, Wayne Gilliland. He is survived by his son, Shad (Sara) Reed; grandchildren, Pamela Hoyt, Shawna (Justin) Whidden, Christian Baucom, Matthew Baucom, and Victoria (Josh) Phillips; great-grandchildren, Mia Reed, August Hoyt, Jay Hoyt, Zoe Phillips, and Lillith Phillips; brother, Charles (Leslie) Reed; and sisters, Anita (Jerry) Samples and Eyvonne (Terry) Jenkins. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
