Charles Samuel Carter

Charles Samuel Carter, age 76, of White Pine, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023 at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith and he loved the Lord. Charles was a loving and devoted husband and daddy and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Maude Carter; son, Charles Allen Carter; brothers, Robert “Bobby” Carter, James Carter, Lesley Carter, and Billy Carter; and sister, Martha Carter Dixon. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Virginia Carter; daughters, Vicki Harrell, Rhonda (Duane) Osgood, and Christy (Richard) Evans; grandchildren, Gray Harrell, Emily Harrell, Brent Osgood, and Katie Coffey; great-grandchildren, Carter Harrell, Beckett Harrell, Kylie Trojanowski, Mason Osgood, Aiden Osgood, and Ella Kate Coffey; brothers, Lemuel Carter and Richard (Traci) Carter; and sisters, Alma Gosnell, Barb Carter, and Linda Choate. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, May 25th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Darrell Alder and Rev. Mike Elkins officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Friday, May 26th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
