Charles “Charlie” Joseph Grech, passed away at Fort Sanders Regional in Knoxville surrounded by his loving wife, Carol; his daughter, Tracy; his best friends, Ryan and Darrell; and his dear friend/pastor, Brian. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Charlie was a man of great character and warmth. For 14 years, he faithfully attended Cherokee Hills Baptist Church, where he cherished his church family. An avid outdoorsman, Charlie had a deep love for sports—especially golf and baseball. He found joy in gardening and took great pride in decorating for the holidays, with Christmas and Halloween being his favorites. Above all, Charlie had a gift for laughter. He loved to laugh and to make those around him laugh, bringing joy and lightheartedness to every moment. His humor and warmth will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John; and his daughter, Jamie. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol; his children, Tracy and Chuck; his brother, Tony; five grandsons, Bob, Ryan, Jake, Bryce, and Brett; and one great-grandson, Caleb. Charlie's spirit, kindness, and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
