Charles “Pug” Hodges, age 78, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at his residence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army receiving a good conduct medal, a national defense medal, and a sharp –shooter for rifle and pistol. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his buddies at the garage. He loved dirt car racing and riding his Harley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Clyde and Minnie Hodges; brothers, Mick Hodges, Ed “Duck” Hodges, and John Hodges; and sisters, Beulah Shiflet, Jean Shiflet, and Mildred “Jo” Shiflet. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, his number one, Brenda Hodges; son, Michael (Tina) Hodges; daughter, Teresa Hodges; grandchildren, James Hodges, Lindsay (Austin) Helton, and Haley Mullins; great-grand children, Mason Helton, Jackson and Kylie Hodges, and Emmett Young; and sister, Clara Brannon. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Monday April 25th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7pm with Rev. Terry Greene officiating. Military graveside services will be at 11am Tuesday April 26th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family extends special thanks to Brittany Ferguson with U.T.
