Charles “Terry” Birchfield, age 50, of Morristown, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at his residence. He was a member of the House of the Lord Jesus Christ. Terry worked at Wal-Mart as a meat/produce team associate and was the heartbeat of that area to his peers. He was an avid Tennessee fan and the jokester of the family. He loved his family, his nieces and nephews, and his work family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan Bill and Ethel Lee Birchfield; brother, Frankie Lee Jolly; grandparents, John and Bessie Shannon and Charlie and Dora Birchfield. He is survived by his sisters, Brenda Evans, Gail (Johnny) Manning, Judy (Ritchie) Broyles, Leslie (Willie) Vestal, and Linda (Max) Shell; brothers, Gary (Janet) Birchfield and Robert (Cathy) Birchfield; special friends, Jason Johnson and Avery Spurgeon; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, August 23rd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 24th at the House of the Lord Jesus Christ with Rev. Amanda Coffey and Rev. Brad Setsor officiating. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Shannon Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
