Clella Carpenter Marsh, age 89, of Bean Station, went to Glory on Thursday June 20, 2024 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where she was a song leader and church clerk. She was most proud of her family and loved creating quilts for others to enjoy. She was a loving and devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hoover Carpenter; second husband, Ervin Marsh; parents, Clay and Nancy Vaughn; daughter, Deanna Carter; sisters, Viola Wilmeth, Molly Mullins, and Pauline Hollifield; and brothers, Garrett, Clyde, Gene, Dewey, Leonard, and Barnett Vaughn. She is survived by her grandson, Michael (Katrina) Carter; great- grandchildren, Haley (Curtis) Presson and Katelyn Carter (Jake Joyner); great-great granddaughter, Rowan Presson; brother, Grant (Dale) Vaughn; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday, June 23rd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Clayton Coffey and Rev. Truman Coffey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, June 24th at Helton Cemetery in Bean Station for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
