Coy Richard Coffman, age 79, of Bean Station, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of Avondale Baptist Church in Rutledge and was known as a kind, gentle, and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Frye Coffman; son, Coy Wayne Coffman; father, Jacob Rhynard Coffman; mother, Bertha Lou Hurst; brothers, Bruce, Verlin, Buford, Carl, Clifford, Zeke, and David Coffman; and sisters, Fern Purkey and Dinah Faye Lovell. He is survived by his daughters, Sheila (Donald) Dalton, Teresa (Gary) Baxley, and Vickie (Brandon) Lovell; grandchildren, Brandy (Greg) Atkins, Jenny Dalton, Wesley (Tonya) Lackey, Jeremy Coffman, Corey (Catey Laura) Bishop, Jody (Stephanie) Morgan, Jacob Coffman, MaeLee Lovell, Allee Lovell, and Liam Lovell; great-grandchildren, Christian Lackey, Ava Dudley, Corbin Atkins, Packson Culbertson, Allison Morgan, Madelyn Coffman, Hansen Bishop, Oakley Morgan, and LouAnna Bishop; sister, Donna Harris; special friends, Tina Taylor, Hughie Dickerson, Sterling Howerton, and Donnie Atkins; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 13th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Gary Baxley and Rev. C.H. Coffman officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 14th at Clapp Cemetery in Washburn for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
